Ladie’s Forum 2025
On October 20, 2025 the Brunswick County Civil War Ladies Forum held their annual meeting at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Southport, NC.
Emily Lapisardi portrayed Confederate spy Rose O’Neal Greenhow. Greenhow was a prominent Washington socialite during the period before the war and moved in important political circles and cultivated friendships with presidents, generals, senators, and high-ranking military officers. Once the war began, her life was marked by daring espionage, influential social connections, and unwavering dedication to the Southern cause. She was jailed in Washington, D.C. for espionage; deported back to the Confederacy and resumed spying. The following portrayal time period is set while Greenhow was in France acting as an emissary for the Confederacy.
Charen Fink also presented on the Social Etiquette during the Civil War Era. A special Thank You to all the volunteers that help put this program together. See you next year!
